70th Anniversary Celebration 

Starting on May 16, Disneyland® Resort will commemorate seven decades of happiness with a yearlong celebration spanning both parks. Expect dazzling decor, including a 70th-anniversary medallion adorning Sleeping Beauty Castle and celebratory costumes for Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and friends.

Guests can look forward to nighttime spectaculars, including Wondrous Journeys, now enhanced with fireworks on select evenings, and the all-new World of Color Happiness! at Disney California Adventure® Park. This buzzing show brings Disney and Pixar films to life with fountains, lasers, and colorful projections.

The festivities continue with the Mickey and Friends Celebrate Happy! cavalcade, among other scheduled parties, performances, and special celebrations!

Park Parades and New Experiences

The fan-favorite Paint the Night parade makes its grand return to Disneyland® Park, illuminating Main Street, U.S.A. with over a million LED lights and colorful floats inspired by Cars, The Little Mermaid, and more! Meanwhile, Disney California Adventure® Park’s Adventure’s Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration brings characters from Pixar films like Turning Red and Luca to life with music, floats, and performances.

In addition, Disneyland® Park will debut a new projection show on it’s a small world, and a new theme song, “Celebrate Happy,” will tie together the year’s festive events!

A highlight of 2025 is the highly anticipated opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which will replace Splash Mountain. This reimagined attraction continues the story of Tiana as she prepares for a Mardi Gras celebration with plenty of bayou magic.

Enhancements to New Orleans Square further immerse visitors in the charm of Tiana’s world. Guests can enjoy live jazz, new dining options featuring authentic Creole flavors, and new retail experiences inspired by the spirit of the Big Easy!

Disneyland Resort’s seasonal lineup for 2025 is packed with highlights:

  • Lunar New Year (Jan. 17-Feb. 16): Celebrate the Year of the Snake with themed entertainment, cultural performances, and delicious Asian-inspired dishes.
  • Food & Wine Festival (Feb. 28-April 21): Indulge in California-inspired culinary creations at marketplace kiosks, meet Chef Goofy, and enjoy live cooking demonstrations!
  • Season of the Force (March 28-May 11): Star Wars fans can immerse themselves in galactic adventures with Hyperspace Mountain, evening projection shows, and unique photo ops in Galaxy’s Edge with all their favorite characters.

 

Avengers Campus Expansion

The Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure® Park is set to expand in 2025, introducing new attractions and hands-on experiences. While details still remain under wraps, the expansion promises to boost the storytelling and action-packed fun that have made this Marvel-inspired zone a hit with fans of all ages.

Downtown Disney® District Additions 

Downtown Disney® District continues its transformation with additions like Disney’s Wonderful World of Sweets shop and the Parkside Market dining hall, both set to open early in 2025. These will complement recent favorites like the Avengers Reserve retail store and The D-Lander Shop, making Downtown Disney® District a prime destination for shopping and dining.
