Second Annual Centers of Excellence List Honors North America’s
Top 30 Convention Centers for Trade Shows and Events

ANAHEIM, Calif. (Oct. 1, 2020) ― The Anaheim Convention Center, the largest exhibition facility on the West Coast, is honored as a Center of Excellence in EXHIBITOR Magazine’s second annual list of North America’s best convention centers.

The list recognizes 30 North American exhibit facilities, including Anaheim Convention Center, as exhibitor-friendly venues, providing world-class service and state-of-art accommodations.

“This validates what our conventions, meetings and groups already know,” said Tom Morton, executive director of Conventions, Sports and Entertainment for the city of Anaheim. “The Anaheim Convention Center is the most flexible exhibit facility on the West Coast. From the largest conventions to more intimate meetings, we offer a turnkey experience for event planners and exhibit managers and return on investment for show organizers.”

The Centers of Excellence list is a resource for event planners, show organizers and exhibit managers on the best small, medium and large conventions centers in North America.

To qualify for the Centers of Excellence award, convention centers are invited to apply and are evaluated by event professionals who recently hosted or exhibited at events at facilities being evaluated.

Facilities are evaluated across a number of categories, including: Facility & Functionality, Location & Accommodations, Service & Execution, Expansions & Upgrades and Awards & Industry Participation.

“With the Anaheim Convention Center receiving this prestigious award two years in a row, it further proves the venue and staff continue to exceed expectations when it comes to customer experience and satisfaction,” said Jay Burress, president & CEO, Visit Anaheim. “Our venue always does its part to make trade shows and events as smooth, successful, and impactful as possible.”

The Anaheim Convention Center welcomes more than 1.1 million unique attendees to Anaheim and Orange County and is ready to safely resume doing so once California coronavirus guidelines allow.

Earlier this year, the Anaheim Convention Center became the first convention center on the West Coast to receive the Global Biorisk Advisory Council STAR accreditation, certifying the facility in outbreak and infectious diseases preparation and response.

Encompassing 1.8 million square feet of leasable space, with more than 1 million square feet of exhibit space, the Anaheim Convention Center completed its most recent expansion in 2017, adding 200,000 square feet of flexible space, allowing for a variety of event uses under one roof in one of the nation’s premier destinations.
