The Anaheim native brings over a decade of experience to the barbecue.

At Jav’s BBQ, chef Javier is smoking meats for a minimum of 12 hours over oak wood leading to a rich and smokey flavor for their southern-style barbecue behind the MAKE Building. Just follow your nose and you won’t be able to miss the gigantic smoker. Once your nose has led the way, you’re likely to start drooling over the menu.

Try the spare ribs smoked and then finished on the grill with a drool-worthy glaze. You can’t go wrong with the Pulled Pork, BBQ Chicken, Tri-Tip, or Brisket.

While you may be hoping for meat with a side of meat, you should save room for the sides from Jav’s BBQ. Choose from barbecue beans, coleslaw, mac and cheese, and cornbread. Snap a photo of your brussel sprouts to show your mom you’re eating a balanced meal. Then reward yourself by treating yourself to a sweet potato pie or banana pudding.
