Food has been a part of the Disney experience since Disneyland’s opening in 1955. From sweets like the iconic Mickey ice cream bar to the unique themed experiences at the Blue Bayou, Disney chefs know that happy bellies make for magical memories.
In addition to the sweet and savory tastings in the marketplace, the Food & Wine Festival offers a variety of seminars and cooking demonstrations. Explore the family-friendly seminars at the Backlot Stage in Hollywood Land to learn how to grow your own veggies or recreate featured dishes from the festival. You’ll feed your passion for fun at these information-packed sessions. Kids aged 3-11 will love the hands-on Junior Chef Demonstrations with Chef Goofy. Make sure to grab a festival map to check out the day’s scheduled events as each visit is truly unique.
We all know that Disney calories don’t count, but you can burn a few over at the Paradise Garden Bandstand or Palisades Stage for festival music. Guests to the festival can also enjoy jamming with the Jammin’ Chefs who rock the pots and pans with special guests Chip and Dale.
The festival also offers annual passholders some special perks, including a Sip and Savor Pass for $45 that allows for sampling of select food and drink offerings at some festival kiosks. With each redemption, annual passholders also receive an exclusive themed button. These Sip and Savor passes can be purchased at the Hollywood Land and at festival merchandise carts.
While checking out the merchandise carts, you may want to bring home a souvenir from the festival. Themed apparel, hats and household items are a great way to remember your experience at the tastiest place on earth.
