As a foodie myself I am always looking for great plates to try and for portions that leave me with a to-go box for a second meal! Recently, I've been drawn toward locations that offer an alfresco atmosphere since the kids are in tow 99.9% of the time and well... it's summer!
It's so refreshing to find local dining hot spots that offer up tasty goodness. I really enjoy a perfect plate of whatever flavors I'm craving and open air, outdoor seating is always a bonus.
Here are my top 5 places to dine in the open air, all options are both date night and family friendly!
Look no further than Naples Ristorante e Pizzeria for a taste of Italy in Southern California. Located at Downtown Disney, Naples offers Italian style pizza and so much more. The second floor features gorgeous views of the promenade and the balcony offers an unexpected touch of elegance with its market lighting and water fountain. Their outdoor seating has recently expanded and even offers wine tasting! This is one of our favorite places to eat at and people watch.
Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen
Jazz on over to the Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney, a savvy representation of New Orleans' dual legacies - food and music- served up in a whimsical setting depicting the charm, ambiance and hospitality of historic and contemporary New Orleans. Upstairs, you'll find traditional New Orleans dining rooms and an outdoor 'Jazz balcony' with seating that overlooks the revelry of the Downtown Disney District!
Located at Downtown Disney, Tortilla Jo’s is probably one of my favorite places to eat. From the tableside guacamole, specialty cocktails, and endless chips and salsa – this place can’t be beat! Not to mention, the lush setting of the outdoor bar is very tropical yet family friendly with plenty of tables and space for larger parties.
An all-American favorite across the street from the Honda Center, JT Schmid’s is a great get-together location and perfect for summer nights! I love that they have TVs outdoors so that while you’re dining you are not missing any of the sports action going down. I hear a date calling my name, I should inform the hubs!
Located across the street from Angel stadium, Karl Strauss offers handcrafted brews, appetizers that fly off the plate, a savory menu to drool over and once again, it’s both date night and family friendly! Personally, I love to hang out with a cold fresh Ale, seated outdoors, after a long day at the theme parks.
My top 5 picks for alfresco dining are all ideally located near Anaheim’s top attractions! Next time you are in town be sure to take a break, sit back and enjoy sunny Southern California at one of these many fresh air dining options!
