Los Angeles International Airport
When you need to get to Anaheim from any location in the world, then Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is the number one choice. As the fifth busiest airport in the world, LAX takes you to more domestic and international destinations than any other airport in the area.
LAX Airport: Your Gateway to Anaheim and the World
LAX has nine terminals serving more than 50 domestic and international airlines. The terminals include Terminal 1 through 8 and the Tom Bradley International Terminal. Alaska Airlines and United Airlines both use Los Angeles as a hub, while American Airlines and Southwest Airlines use it as a focus city. More than five million passengers go through LAX in a month, while the average number of flights on a daily basis is around 1,200. The terminals are arranged in a U shape with all departures on the upper level of each terminal and all arrivals on the lower level. Many airlines offer curbside check-in or self-check-in services for convenience, and every terminal has its own baggage claim carousels.
A wealth of parking options
Los Angeles is a city filled with drivers who need someplace to park when they go to LAX. As a result, there are approximately 8,000 available parking spaces for travelers. Parking lots are conveniently located in front of each terminal for short and long-term parking. If you’re looking for more affordable long-term parking at the airport, you can also park at Lot B and Lot C. While the airport itself offers plenty of parking, you can also find an abundance of lots nearby that are owned by private companies. The prices vary, so you might have to do some research, however many of these lots allow you to reserve a space in advance, while others will even wash your car while you’re away. In addition, there is a cell phone waiting lot so you can avoid repeatedly driving around the U of terminals while waiting to pick up your guests.
A guide to LAX Transportation
Even though LAX is a little farther from Anaheim than some of the other airport options in Southern California, it has a wide selection of transportation options. With around 40 rental car companies nearby, you can rent virtually any kind of car you want in just about every budget range. Many of these companies have courtesy shuttles that will take you from the airport directly to the rental car company. Many hotels in the area also offer courtesy shuttles.
But what if you want to go beyond Los Angeles? Don’t worry, you have options. Taxis are always ready and waiting, and so are a number of shuttle and shared-ride van services. Especially convenient for those going to Anaheim are airport shuttles and scheduled coach services. These vehicles will take you to locations in Anaheim, but some require advanced reservations. If you’re going to Disneyland®, you can hop on the Disneyland® Express Bus without reservations and be dropped off at one of the hotels within the vicinity of Disneyland®. Of course, if you’d prefer the luxury of a limousine to take you from Los Angeles to Anaheim, there are many services available.
An airport with every convenience
At LAX airport, you can shop and eat in style. You’ll find a variety of eateries in any one of the terminals. Food and beverage options range from Starbucks Coffee to California Pizza Kitchen to any number of fast-food restaurants. If you want to do a little shopping while in Los Angeles, browse through one of the duty-free shops or one of the many other retail stores. There are also convenience stores and newsstands for any last-minute needs you might have. In addition to food and shopping, LAX offers wireless internet service through T-Mobile, however, there is a charge for using it. Other services include ATMs throughout the terminals, currency exchange booths, business services, a lost & found, and first aid.
When you’re traveling to Anaheim, Los Angeles International Airport is an option that provides you with everything you need: multiple airlines, services, stores, restaurants, transportation, and more.
