No Doubt’s 1995 album, Tragic Kingdom, sold more than 16 million copies. Stefani has won three Grammy Award, including a solo Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for “Let Me Blow Ya Mind” in 2002. Her song, “Hollaback Girl” peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2006.

The FOX detective series “Bones” filmed at Anaheim ICE, the Frank Gehry-designed ice hockey rink in downtown Anaheim that is also a practice facility for the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks.

The FOX detective series “Bones” stars David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel. In Season 11, Episode 19, the character FBI Special Agent Seely Booth, played by Boreanaz, takes to the ice to play hockey (at Anaheim ICE) and investigate the death of a professional hockey player. Anaheim has plenty of sports venues.

Anaheim has become a popular stand -in for Miami for TV shows. The FOX television drama, “Rosewood,” starring Morris Chestnut as a Miami pathologist, has sunny Anaheim (not Miami) as its background in some episodes. “Rosewood” has filmed on location in Anaheim’s Boysen Park, downtown and in the historic Colony District. Anaheim’s Downtown Community Center became home to a set resembling a tea house.

The 1992 Disney hit film, “The Mighty Ducks,” about a rag-tag youth team of hockey players who win big, inspired the naming of the Disney-owned NHL hockey team that was founded in 1993 as the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. The NHL team also used logos and the uniform colors of eggplant and teal from the movie.

The NHL Ducks played the 1993-94 to the 2005-06 seasons with the Mighty Ducks name and color scheme. Disney sold the NHL’s Mighty Ducks of Anaheim franchise to Henry and Susan Samueli in 2005. Before the 2006-07 season, the Ducks were renamed the “Anaheim Ducks.” The club also changed the team colors to black, orange, gold, silver and white.
