Aquatica SeaWorld's Waterpark™ is making a splash this summer in Chula Vista. Aquatica San Diego, like its sister parks in San Antonio and Orlando, Fla., features guest experiences from serene to extreme, with water play as endless as the sea itself, and is home to a variety of exotic animals, providing an educational component to a waterpark visit that is both unexpected and enriching. Aquatica SeaWorld's Waterpark, at 2052 Entertainment Circle in Chula Vista, Calif., is now open (daily through Sept. 2 and weekends only Sept. 7 through Oct. 20).

Newport Landing Sportfishing is great for both beginners and experienced fisherman, with day fishing trips offered in the morning, afternoon, and evening daily. Catch over two dozen different species of fish including giant yellowtail up to 40 pounds, halibut, kelp bass, barracuda, red snapper, and many more. Hundreds of fish per each trip is common. Catalina Island day trips are offered daily and they catch giant yellowtail to 50 pounds, white sea bass to 60 pounds, yellowfin tuna (summer months) and dozens more. Rental gear and everything you would need for your trip is also available.

Newport Landing provides multiple whale watching and dolphin cruises daily year round aboard our specifically built-for-whale-watching ships, the Ocean Explorer and the Legacy. Our cruises depart from Newport Harbor in Newport Beach. Newport Harbor is the closest ocean harbor from Anaheim (about 20 minutes) and is surrounded by the famous coastlines of Laguna Beach and Newport Beach. On one of our whale watching cruises you can expect to see dolphins, sea lions, marine birds and, of course, whales. The winter and spring months bring the annual grey whale migration with over 10,000 gray whales participating and the summer and fall months, giant blue whales which migrate into the coastal waters in the hundreds to feed. Along with gray whales and blue whales, see humpback whales, minke whales, finback whales, and many species of dolphin year round. Over 2800 whales were viewed in 2015!

The Battleship of Presidents, USS IOWA has opened as a floating museum! Dana Wharf Sportfishing and Whale Watching offers year-round adventures for everyone. Sportfishing guided tours will take you out to local fishing spots and teach you tricks of the trade. Dana Point 's first whale-watching company will take you out to see California Gray Whales. Come see Blue Whales, which grow up to 100 feet, play in our warm waters from May-October. Free parking. Davey's Locker Whale Watching & Sportfishing has a rich tradition dating back to the 1940s.
