Where to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Anaheim & Orange County
Calling all novelty “Kiss Me I’m Irish” pin wearing, Guinness swigging, pint glass toting participants of epic St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. It’s time to breathe new life back into those green skinny jeans you keep in the back of your closet (we know they’re in there) and step into one of these Orange County bars and restaurants for your Paddy’s Day festivities, where the green beer is flowing, and the whiskey love’s a-growing.
Waffles + beer = an answer to a fun evening! IPA’s with a tasty waffle pairing for those extra carbohydrates. Situated on the top floor of the Anaheim Packing House, the waffle sandwich and local brews bar will be featuring a selection of green beers (and ciders) from their lineup of 25 rotating taps. Hoppy Hour will be all day too, with discounts on beer and bar bites for the green-cladded!
For those in the celebratory mood but the green-drink-infused shenanigans tradition isn’t up your alley, consider CaliVino for your holiday needs. Enjoy live music all evening long as you indulge in their killer Happy Hour from 9 to 11 p.m., featuring $2 off bar bites like their Pork Belly Sliders (which you will want), and $1 off draught beers, all from local breweries of course.
Branagan’s pulls all the Irish stops all day every day, with no plans to deviate from business as usual on St. Patrick’s Day. Count on doors opening up at 6 a.m. for family-style breakfast featuring green pancakes being flipped until 10 a.m., then moving on to a holiday-inspired boozy lineup of their extensive Irish whiskeys, as well as a beer list that will include six taps of green beer and six taps of Guinness. Keep in mind that once breakfast is over, seating will shift to standing room only, but when you have the option of PYOP (that’s Pour Your Own Pint) we suggest you quit the belly achin’ and drink your Irish-y beer.
An “elevated” Irish pub, Macallan’s is the place to kick your inner Irish up a notch on March 17th. These guys carry 250 types of scotch, whiskeys and bourbons to bring out the Irishman in every, well, man and woman. Or go all out with a St. Patrick’s Day VIP Ticket at just $25 a pop. That gets you admission to the Guinness Sky Lounge, Macallan’s Buffet, plus your choice of well drink or beer while supplies last. You want all of it.
It’s no Paddy’s Day in the O.C. without mentioning Muldoon’s. March 17, 2017 marks Muldoon’s 43rd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Bash. No need for reservations or to expect a cover charge for these festivities. At the ripe morning hour of 9 a.m. Muldoon’s will open their doors for guests to enjoy two live bands along with dancing should you feel so inspired to let out a jig, along with Irish specialty dishes being served all day long like corned beef sandwiches at their Bulldog Cafe.
