What could possibly add more fun and variety to Anaheim and Orange County'€™s already jam-packed lineup of attractions and entertainment options? How about an indoor water park?

The Anaheim Resort area will be the proud new home of Great Wolf Lodge Southern California '€“ a giant indoor water park resort just minutes from the Disneyland Resort.

Slated for completion in 2016, the 100,000-square-foot indoor water park at Great Wolf Lodge will be open year-round '€“ offering guests the opportunity to take advantage of this aquatic wonderland rain or shine. Access to the indoor water park will be free and exclusive to resort guests.

Attractions and Activities at Great Wolf Lodge

A few of the signature Great Wolf Lodge water rides and attractions coming to the resort include the six-story Howlin'€™ Tornado; the Wolf Tail slide (with a 360-degree loop); Slap Tail Pond wave pool; and Fort Mackenzie '€“ a multi-level interactive tree house with a 1,000-gallon tipping bucket.

MagiQuest '€“ a live-action, adventure game where kids use wands as they embark on quests throughout the resort, while battling dragons, collecting gold and saving pixies;

Dining Options

The new resort will also feature several on-site dining options and food outlets, including the Lodge Wood Fired Grill restaurant and bar, Bear Paw Sweets & Eats confectionary café, Hungry as a Wolf handcrafted pizza and pasta, and Buckets Incredible Craveables.

Room Features

Each of the 603 rooms at the all-suite resort will be able to accommodate up to six people and include an in-room refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. Several themed suites will offer kids a great place to unwind after a fun-filled day at the water park. The cave-themed '€œWolf Den'€ and log cabin-themed '€œKidCabin'€ suites will be equipped with bunk beds.

Meeting Space

In addition to catering to leisure travelers, Great Wolf Lodge Southern California will boast more than 13,000 square feet of flexible meeting space. Complete with a dedicated group entrance, built-in audio/video technology, customizable catering options and a world-class team of industry professionals, the resort'€™s conference center will provide an entirely new option for meeting planners to host groups.

Going Green

Though the water park fun is definitely something to be excited about, another great feature of Great Wolf Lodge is their environmentally-conscious approach to doing business. Latest Developments

Donning hardhats with wolf ears, executives of Great Wolf Lodge and Garden Grove officials celebrated the start of construction with a groundbreaking ceremony on May 21.
