Tis the season for magical memories with family and friends! When the Disneyland resort undergoes it's annual holiday makeover, there is no better place to be enjoy the season. From the snow-capped Cinderella castle to Christmas parades and sweet holiday treats, the cheer is felt on every corner. Here are some tips for having the best holiday experience at the Disneyland Resort this year."

My favorite attraction during the holiday season is '€œIt'€™s a Small World.'€ The first glance at the facad after the sun goes down will put you in instant holiday mode. It'€™s decorated in thousands of colorful lights and once on the ride, revelers will see it has completely changed to represent the holiday seasons around the world as the characters sing, '€œDeck the Halls.'€

Be sure to check out the "Haunted Mansion Holiday" as the traditional attraction has been taken over by Jack Skelington, Oogie Boogie and the rest of the characters from Tim Burton'€™s '€œNightmare Before Christmas,'€ where Halloween and Christmas merge together to create a scary and festive scene."

The Christmas Fantasy Parade has been a Disneyland tradition for as long as I can remember. All along Main Street there are marching toy soldiers, skating snowflakes, all of the favorite Disney characters dressed up for the occasion, and of course, Santa Claus makes an appearance as well."

All along Main Street and Downtown Disney you will smell the holiday season as gingerbread and peppermint scents drifts through the air. Grab some sweet treats along with some hot beverages at the Market House General Store on Main Street. Did you know that this is the only place where you can get free coffee refills throughout the day? Just save your receipt and head back to Main Street whenever you need a refill."

The best part of visiting Disneyland Resort over the holidays is the '€œBelieve in Holiday Magic'€ fireworks show. Be sure to find a spot for yourself on Main Street to see the show because at the end, it snows! The '€œsnow'€ comes from the light posts and creates the perfect scene for magical moments. I love watching the amazement on children's faces as they see the snow start to fall all around them. " I'€™ve also seen a wedding proposal happen, right in front of the castle in the falling snow. It'€™s truly magical."

The treats, decorations, attractions, and Disney characters make the perfect holiday experience for you and your family at the Disneyland Resort. Don'€™t forget that you can check many gifts off your list at all of the Disney stores. What'€™s your favorite holiday memory in Anaheim?
